History

Zachary "Zach" Pierce Guthrie was born in August 1978, as the first born son of Dwayne Pierce Guthrie and Joyce Ann Guthrie, both graduates of the University of Florida.  Dwayne Guthrie holds a doctorate of Governance, Planning and Globalization from Virginia Tech, and is the first born son of Franklin Pierce Guthrie and Carolyn S. Guthrie.  Franklin Guthrie was also a graduate of the University of Florida, a United States Marine fighter pilot during the Korean War and a career pilot with Delta.  You can learn more about the history of the Guthrie Clan of Scotland by visiting Clan Guthrie USA.

Zach Guthrie served as a non-commissioned officer in the United States Marine Corps in the 1990's, and married Laura Elizabeth Mathis of Virginia upon his exit from service in 2001.  Zach graduated from Excelsior College in 2002 (thanks to the GI Bill), and began selling professional services as a consultant full-time in 2003.  The Guthrie family currently resides back in their native Florida, and has three children.
